Willman Wins Championship At Owensville

Emily Willman gave another stellar performance on Tuesday at Owensville. This was the third week in a row she medaled and improved her own personal best.

Abram Denney has really become a force to be reckoned with and medaled in fifth place.

Owensville has been known as a mentally tough course and Denney recorded his course best too on Tuesday.

Willman recorded her personal best time at Owensville with a time of 19:46.21. Breanna Mayberry finished in 26th with a time of 24:16.39. Olivia Huitt claimed 66th with a time of 33:19.79. Jade Studdard took 70th with a time of 35:44.44 and was immediately followed by Maria Schatzl with a time of 35:44.53.

Hermann’s top runner, Katy Menke, followed Willman in second place with a time of 20:16.32.

Hermann won the team championship with 48 points. Owensville followed with 61 points. Pacific took third with 80 points. Union followed with 87. Rolla claimed fifth with 128. Cuba followed with 142. Sullivan finished in seventh with 153 points.

Boys

Sullivan finished in seventh place in team scores with 173 points.

Denney was Sullivan’s top performer and he medaled in fifth place with a time of 17:47.51. Ian Studdard followed in 39th with a time of 21:11.97. Nolan Studdard got 44th with a time of 21:41.73. Charles Saul had a time of 23:36.30 and got 62nd. Javier Contreras finished in 71st with a time of 26:04.94. He was immediately followed by Parker Whaley who had a time of 26:33.41.

Bryson Pickard of Union won the championship again with a time of 16:53.76.

Pacific won the team championship with 60 points and followed by Owensville with 60 as well. Union claimed third with 70 points. Calvary Lutheran had fourth with 107. Steelville was next with 140. South Callaway got sixth and 145 points. Sullivan was followed by Chamois with 182 points. Rolla took ninth with 199. Bourbon finished out the top ten with 205 points.
