Willman, Denney Place Top Ten At Washington

Emily Willman continued her outstanding high school career at the 2022 Washington Big Drive Invitational. She found her way on the medal podium again with a second place finish. Abram Denney was the top finisher for the boys and placed tenth. This was a tough 5k course with Washington rolling hills throughout.

Willman was the top finisher for the girls and medaled in second. Her time was 20:40.93.

In the mixed JV 5k, Maria Schatzl finished 26th with a time of 29:13.48. Jade Studdard took 38th with a time of 32:50.20. Olivia Huitt finished in 39th with a time of 33:48.00.

Julia Donnelly of Washington won the girl’s championship with a time of 19:59.47. Liberty (Wentzville) won the team championship with 31 points. They were followed by Washington with 53 points. Parkway Central claimed third with 63 points. Union finished with 77 points.

Boys

Sullivan’s boys finished in ninth with 180 points.

Denney was the top performer with a 10th place finish and a time of 18:34.26. Aidan Lawrence took 41st with a time of 20:47.71. Zechariah Beagle followed in the next place with a time of 20:49.55. Ian Studdard crossed the line in 46th with a time of 21:03.28. Nolan Studdard got 60th with a time of 22.39.24.

In the mixed JV 5k, Charles Saul had a time of 24:15.08 in 55th place. Parker Whaley tallied a time of 25:24.80 and landed in 62nd. Javier Contreras finished in 65th with a time of 25:47.78.

Bryson Pickard of Union won the championship with a time of 17:29.57.

Parkway Central won the team championship with 46 points. They were followed by Parkway South with 79 points. Liberty (Wentzville) took third with 98 points. Pacific followed with 113 points. Parkway North claimed fifth with 115 points. Union got sixth with 118 points. Timberland finished in seventh with 137 points, followed by Borgia with 180 points.
