Volleyball Slays Warrenton In Three Sets

Lady Eagles volleyball dominated Warrenton in all three sets on Sep. 8, with scores of 25-15, 25-17 and 25-11.

The Lady Eagles continued to improve on their chemistry, with both the attack and defense zones effectively returning the ball.

Emily Clonts led the team with 6 aces, Delaney George scored the most points with 14, Raegan Johnson had a team-high of 16 assists and Stevi Saling recorded 10 kills.

Ava Blankenship has taken on significant responsibilities as a middle blocker and has excelled in her role. She dominated with a team-high of 19 attacks and 9 kills.

Rookie Abby Record made crucial contributions throughout the evening, making 14 attacks, 4 points, 3 points and 3 aces.

The first set was a decisive victory as the Lady Eagles dominated Warrenton, winning 25-15. Johnson delivered the final blow with a clutch spike over the net.

The Warriors competed closely with Sullivan throughout the second set, but the Lady Eagles still remained resilient and seized a 25-17 win.

In the third set, Sullivan almost always had double the lead of Warrenton. To secure the victory, Clonts served up some crucial points towards the end and Saling scored the last point on a swift kill.

Volleyball played Rolla at home on Monday, Sep. 11. Results were unavailable at press time. They are heading to play at St. James on Sep. 14. C team is at 4:30 p.m., junior varsity at 5:30 and varsity at 6. Sullivan will play at home the following Tuesday, Sep. 19 against New Haven.
