Upcoming Jamborees On Aug. 18

A varsity football jamboree will be at the Sullivan High School turf field on Aug. 18, from 7 to 9 p.m. The Sullivan Eagles are hosting Herculaneum, Jefferson R-7, Salem, Cuba and St. James.
When asked about their final scrimmage of the season, head football coach Eddie Haar said, “We are looking [for] consistent play from our kids on both sides of the football. No mental mistakes, [only] great execution and great effort.”
The football team’s season opener will be at Northwest on Aug. 25.
Then, a varsity softball jamboree will also be held on Aug. 18, from 4 to 7 p.m.
The People’s Bank Back to School Classic will start the regular season for the Lady Eagles on Aug. 25 at the Campbell-Chapman Sports Complex.
