Sullivan Wrestling Teams Dominant At Union

Both the boys and girls wrestling teams had a successful night on Wednesday. The Lady Eagles faced Union and came away with the big team victory. Sullivan boy's wrestling faced two schools in a tri-meet and defeated both teams.

Girls (Union)

The Lady Eagles defeated the Lady Wildcats, 30-17.

The 100 class was a double forfeit.

Josey Alferman of Union was unopposed for 105.

The 110 and 115 classes were double forfeits.

Union's Brianna Keiser won by a technical fall 15-0 at six minutes over Karen Dietzler for 120.

The 125 class was a double forfeit and Jade Studdard and Sadie Altimus were unopposed for 130 and 135, followed by a double forfeit for 140.

Katie Summers was pinned by Gracie Straatman at twenty-four seconds for 145

Hannah Sumner pinned Ashley Wright at 1:28 for 155, followed by a double forfeit for 170.

Ruby Daily pinned Destiny Vicek at nineteen seconds for 190 and Reya Bristow was unopposed for 235.

Boys (St. Mary's)

The Eagles boys team were victorious over St. Mary's 75-6.

Camden Henderson pinned Myles Hawkins at 1:06 for 106 and Carter Blankenship was unopposed for 113.

Oliver Borton and Sam Hect were unopposed for 120 and 126.

Eli Peregoy defeated Leo Niyonizigiye by a 11-4 decision.

Dominic Ransom, Ian Neels, and Adam Peregoy were all unopposed for 138, 144, and 150.

Colton Brendel pinned Kyan Clymer at 2:55 for 157.

For 165, Wieland Schmuke pinned Deron Gipson at 3:40.

Parker Montee was pinned by Jamarion Taylor at 2:25 for 175.

Kane Strehl was unopposed for 190.

For 215, Jeremiah Rodriguez pinned Sam West at 1:25.

Nolan Center was unopposed for 285.

There were three extra matches.

For 120, Carsen Dudley pinned Walter Dunlap at 1:20.

Ethan Turner pinned Alejandro Gonzalez at 1:40 for 157.

For 190, Malachi Barton pinned Jaylen Akinola at 1:19.

Union

Sullivan’s boys were victorious again. This time they defeated Union, 55-24.

Henderson and Blankenship were unopposed for 106 and 113.

Borton won by a 14-7 decision over Logan Garrett for 120.

For 126, Hect pinned Brayden Major at 1:50.

Eli Peregoy and Ransom were unopposed for 132 and 138.

Neels was pinned by Malachi Frazier at 1:48 for 144.

Adam Peregoy was unopposed for 150.

For 157, Brendel pinned Michael Alvaredo at 2:53.

Schmuke was pinned by Trey Ladymon at 4:34 for 165.

For 175, Montee was pinned by Brody Sitze at 1:22.

Stehl defeated Traven St. Clair by a 12-4 decision for 190.

Rodriguez was unopposed for 215.

Center was pinned by Killian Cordia at 1:24 for 285.

There were three extra matches against Union as well.

Dudley pinned Adam Briggs at 1:15 for 120.

Ezekiel Greenlee was pinned by Alonzo Gregory at 1:15 for 138.

For 157, Turner was pinned by Cayden Roesch at 1:15.
