Sullivan Surges Past St. Clair

Sullivan overpowered St. Clair 45-22 on Wednesday, winning their second straight game.

The Eagles, who improved to 7–13, were coming off a victory one night earlier against New Haven.

The Eagles soared over past Bulldogs from the tip all the down to the final minute.

Sullivan doubled up the Bulldogs in the first quarter, going up 12-6.

Sullivan outscored St. Clair 9-6 in the second quarter and led 21-12 at the end of the first half.

Domination and defense was the best way to describe the action in the second half. The defense shined for Sullivan as they held St. Clair to two points. The Eagles outscored St. Clair 11-2 and pushed their advantage to 32-14.

St. Clair tried to make a comeback, but Sullivan's defense was too much for the Bulldogs. The Eagles outscored St. Clair 13-8 and finished off their Four Rivers Conference rivals.

Gavin Dace led the team in points with 13. Charlie Lohden, Blaine Sappington, and Logan Watters each scored seven points. Kyle Lewis landed three points. Max Avery, Gabe Dace, Sam Summers, and Luke Todd each finished with two points.

Sullivan's defense had an exceptional performance. Sappington led the team in rebounds with seven. He also recorded two assists and a steal. Gabe Dace scored six rebounds and two assists. Summers tallied six rebounds and a steal. Gavin Dace had three rebounds. Todd made three rebounds and one steal. Cambrian Koch added two rebounds. Lohden landed two rebounds and two assists. Lewis finished with one rebound, three assists, and two steals. Watters registered one rebound and one steal. Matthew Mallory made one steal.
