Sullivan Edged Out 3-2 By St. Louis United In 2 OTs

Sullivan (4-10) lost 3-2 to St. Louis United in another two-overtime showdown.

The Eagles gave up two goals within the first ten minutes of the game.

At halftime, trailing 2-0, head coach Brian Immekus urged his team to play with new energy and to not let United beat them on their own home field.

Cambrian Koch took the message to heart and quickly scored the first goal for the Eagles.

Luke Herron caused the game to go into overtime with a goal on a penalty kick to tie it 2-2.

Sullivan’s defense continued to make miraculous blocks on the net, but St. Louis United clinched the game-winner in the final two minutes of the fourth half.

Eagles goalkeeper Alex Toews made 9 crucial saves.

Koch and Herron both recorded 2 shots, a goal, an assist and 3 points each.

Carsen Dudley managed a shot and a corner, while Eli Peregoy had 2 shots.

Dock Thomure, Kaden Smith, Zaiden Marler, Josiah Tanner and Wyatt Kraus each had a shot and Zechariah Beagle contributed with a corner.
