Sullivan Eagles Baseball Heartbroken By Warrenton

The Sullivan Eagles baseball team played the Warrenton Warriors on Tuesday. This was the first game the boys lost after a four game winning streak. This was the last road game the Eagles played before a long tournament at Salem. Sullivan fell to Warrenton, 15-3.

In the first inning, the Eagles were the first team to draw first blood. Cambrian Koch got the game started when he blasted a fly ball triple. Gavin Schmidt hit him home when he reached on an error. Warrenton scored three runs at their next at bat and tallied another twelve runs before Sullivan answered back.

In the fifth inning, Sullivan added two more runs at their last at bat. Koch hit a fly ball and landed on an error made by the left fielder. Schmidt followed that with a walk. Koch scored when Chase Blue singled to right field. Drake Gawer popped a fly ball double and scored Schmidt in from third to end the Eagles run.

Blue was the top hitting Eagle in the game when he went 2-3.
