Softball Edged 5-4 By Rolla

Sullivan’s softball team (9-9) came up short 5-4 against Rolla (9-8) on Monday, Sept. 30. The Lady Bulldogs staged a comeback in their final drive, scoring three runs to snatch the victory.

Evvie Blankenship drove in a team-high 2 RBIs and singled.

Dorie Richardson scored, doubled and walked once.

Rae Corwin punched in a run and doubled.

Molly Lohden and McKynlee Peterson each had a run and a single.

Evelynn Harris logged an RBI and a walk. 

Ava Declue singled, and Carli McCreary walked.

Declue pitched until the bottom of the seventh. She pounded nine strikeouts while giving up eight hits, three earned runs and a walk.

Blankenship came in for relief on the mound. She surrendered three hits, two earned runs and a walk.
