Softball’s Late Rally Falls Short To Troy-Buchanan

The Lady Eagles (6-7) led a six-run rally in their final two drives but could not overcome Troy-Buchanan (7-3), falling 13-9 at home. They started their week against the Lady Trojans on Monday, Sept. 16.

Evelynn Harris drove in a team-high 3 RBIs. She also executed two hits: a triple and a double.

Dorie Richardson led the Lady Eagles with four hits. She racked up two runs, an RBI and a double. 

Rae Corwin picked up a run, an RBI, a hit and a walk.

Carli McCreary captured three hits, 2 RBIs and a double.

Evvie Blankenship recorded two hits, a run and an RBI. 

Molly Lohden logged three hits and two runs. 

McKynlee Peterson, Madison Ortner and Elli Crump all crossed home plate once. 

Ava Declue made a hit.

Blankenship pitched the top of the first. She gave up three hits and two earned runs.

Declue was next in rotation and pounded two strikeouts. She surrendered 11 hits.

Mia Pridemore finished the game on the mound. She allowed four hits and two earned runs.
