Seven Athletes Compete At Washington Pentathlon
The Sullivan Eagles track and field team had seven athletes compete at the Washington Pentathlon on Saturday. Colton Brendel, Elijah Pritchett, Jeremiah Rodriguez and Robert York represented the boys. Eva Heady, Breanna Mayberry and Abby Peterson represented the girls. Everyone overcame the cold temperatures and heavy winds to give a stellar performance.
Peterson won the overall Pentathlon with 2,238 points. York was the next Eagle with 2,341 points. Brendel finished in third with 2,005 points. Rodriguez followed with 1,871 points. Mayberry claimed fifth place with 1,445 points and was followed by Pritchett with 1,292 points. Heady rounded out Sullivan with 1,169.
110 Hurdles - York was the top Eagle and finished with 483 points in 18.2 seconds. Brendel followed with 315 in 20.2 seconds. Rodriguez tallied 188 points in 22.19 seconds and Pritchett finished in 28.9 seconds.
100 Hurdles - Peterson was the top Lady Eagle and finished with 307 points in 19.7 seconds. Heady followed with 145 points in 22 seconds. Mayberry finished with 94 points in 23.4 seconds.
Long Jump - York was Sullivan’s top performer with 447 points and 5.33 meters. Rodriguez followed with 443 points and 5.31 meters. Brendel got third with 363 points and 4.9 meters. Peterson followed with 388 points for 4.32 meters. Heady grabbed 321 points and 4.21 meters. Mayberry tallied 312 points and 4.02 meters. Pritchett finished with 303 points and 4.57 meters.
High Jump - Peterson got the most points with 678 and a 5-1. York followed in points with 528 and 5-6. Mayberry got 460 points and 4-5. Brendel tallied 411 points and 5-0. Rodriguez had 352 points and 4-9. Heady landed 331 points and 4-0. Pritchett finished with 317 points and 4-7.
Shot Put - Rodriguez was the top Eagle and medaled in third overall. He had 590 points and 11.73 meters. York followed in points with 513 and 10.44 meters. Brendel tallied 455 points and 9.49 meters. Peterson claimed 381 points and 7.71 meters. Pritchett grabbed 343 points and 7.6 meters. Mayberry had 231 points and 5.37 meters. Heady finished with 228 points and 5.31 meters.
1,500m Run - Brendel was the top Eagle and medaled in fifth place overall with 461 points at 5:18. York followed with 370 points at 5:36. Pritchett claimed 329 at 5:45. Rodriguez finished with 298 points at 5:52.
800m Run - Peterson topped Sullivan and won the championship overall with 574 points at 2:40. Mayberry got 348 points at 3:02. Heady finished with 144 points at 3:29.
