Lady Eagles Wrap Up 2024 At Steve Johnson Invitl.

The Lady Eagles capped off 2024 on a high note at Missouri’s capital on Saturday, Dec. 21. They locked up five medals at the Steve Johnson Invitational, battling ten other teams for a third-place finish and 54 points. 

Dorie Richardson, Chloe Carson, Abigail Erfurth, Ruby Daily and Starr Hardesty clinched a spot on the podium. Sullivan continues to strive for strong finishes as they head into the new year.

Match Summaries

Richardson (140) has led her team to the top in every tournament. She ran the table in Jefferson City, pinning Melissa Barnett (Aurora) in 0:44 and Echo Foss (Jefferson City) in 3:13. The senior earned nine points and kept her undefeated record alive at 20-0.

Carson (155) also notched a first-place finish under her belt. The sophomore led the Lady Eagles with 18 points in four victories. She took down Amanda King (Hazlewood Central) at 1:24, Gabrielle Sontag (Winnetonka) at 1:21, Jaiden Allen (Jefferson City JV) at 0:30 and Deja’Nette Watson (Jefferson City) at 3:39. Carson wrapped up December with a 15-8 record.

Erfurth (235) delivered a clean sweep at Missouri’s capital. She capitalized on two wins for nine points, trapping Jasmine Torres (Aurora) in 1:26 and Bella Bauer (Stover) in 1:31. The sophomore heads into Winter Break with a 16-5 record.

Daily (170) finished as the runner-up in her class. She brought down Caroline Bell (Jefferson City) in 1:51 and Zyana Washington (Winnetonka) in 0:25. Her only loss was to the undefeated Autumn Calvert (Winnetonka) in a 2:20 fall. Daily closes out the first half of her senior year with a 15-4 record.

S. Hardesty (145) medaled with bronze in third place and showed grit in her two bouts. She fell to Jasmine Koehler (Aurora) in 1:23 and Alex Dunwiddie (Jefferson City) in 0:52. The sophomore enters 2025 with a 1-11 record.

Autumn Hardesty (130) ranked fourth and collected four points in her hard-fought duals. She lost to Dannica Hassler (Hallsville) and Jordie Johnston (Winnetonka) in technical falls, then to Dani Williams (Jefferson City) in a 10-5 decision. The freshman heads into January with a 3-13 record.
