Lady Eagles Win Championship At Owensville Tournament

The Lady Eagles shined at the Owensville Tournament.

Playing in the championship soccer game against the host Dutchgirls, Sullivan stormed back from a 2-0 deficit in the first half to win 3-2 and claim the title.

The title pushed Sullivan’s record to 11-7-1 as the district tournament quickly approaches.

Sullivan blanked the St. Louis Patriots and Wright City in the tournament’s first two games.

St. Louis Patriots

Sullivan defeated the St. Louis Lady Patriots, 3-0.

The Eagles scored early in the first half and added another two goals in the second half.

Cambria Pohlman scored two goals and had an assist.

Hayli Venable also scored.

Maria Schatzl played tremendously during all 80 minutes as goal keeper. She saved the ball 11 times from seeing the back of the net.

Wright City

Wright City fell to Sullivan, 1-0.

The Lady Eagles scored early in the first half and held onto the lead.

Pohlman scored the only goal.

Schatzl only had to make one save.

Owensville

Sullivan fell behind 2-0 in the first half to Owensville, but still pulled out the victory. The Lady Eagles readjusted at the half and scored three times to pick up the win.

Emily Willman scored two goals, including the game-winner.

Lohden had Sullivan’s other goal.

Emma Brune finished with an assist.

Schatzl played 79 minutes of the game and Karen Dietzler played one minute. Schatzl made three saves.
