Lady Eagles Volleyball Soars Over Herculaneum In All Three Sets

Lady Eagles volleyball (8-14) beat Herculaneum (11-8-3) in all three sets: 25-19, 25-19 and 25-20.
With 22 serves, Delaney George led the team with 6 aces and 16 points.
Ava Blankenship had a team-high of 24 attacks, 12 kills and 2 blocks.
Ava Todd pulled off a remarkable 16 assists.
In the 1st set, Abby Record’s crucial dig boosted Sullivan to a 19-16 lead and helped the Lady Eagles secure a slight lead over Herculaneum by the end of the match.
George served up a few aces to double Sullivan’s score to that of the Lady Blackcats for the majority of the 2nd set.
The 3rd match remained neck and neck, but Shelby Giebler’s kill, when tied at 20-20, sealed the victory for Sullivan.
