Lady Eagles Sweep Owensville Tourney

The Lady Eagles have been incredible this soccer season. Sullivan had another successful tournament run. The Lady Eagles went undefeated at the Owensville tournament on Thursday and Friday. Sullivan shut out St. James first, 7-0. The Lady Eagles kept up the momentum and shutout Fatima during their next game, 3-0. They secured the tournament championship with a win over the hosts, 3-1.

St. James

Sullivan stormed right out of the gate during the first game of the tournament. The ladies slammed four goals right off the bat in the first half. Sullivan secured the win with three more goals in the second half.

Cambria Pohlman led in shots with seven. She also had the most assists with two.

Tessa Newman followed with four shots and three goals.

Molly Lohden tallied four shots and two goals.

Emma Brune had four shots and one goal.

Emily Willman made three shots, one goal, and one assist.

Jada Adams landed two shots

Kara Schmidt grabbed one shot and one assist.

Anna Brooks and Dorie Richardson each had a shot.

Maria Schatzl played all 80 minutes as the goalkeeper and saved the ball five times from seeing the net.

Fatima

Sullivan’s defense shined again and shut out their next opponents. The Lady Eagles scored on goal in the first half and grabbed another two goals in the second half to secure the win.

Pohlman shot the ball four times and grabbed a goal and Lohden did the same thing.

Newman got the other goal and a shot.

Adams and Brune each shot the ball once and picked up an assist.

Zehn Porter shot the ball once and grabbed an assist.

Schatzl played all 80 minutes as the goalkeeper and saved the ball five times from seeing the net.

Owensville

Sullivan secured the tournament championship when they defeated the Owensville Dutchgirls. This was the game in which the ladies gave up a goal. The Lady Eagles scored two goals in the first half and their last goal in the second half. Owensville scored their only goal in the second half.

Pohlman shot the ball four times and grabbed an assist.

Willman and Adams each shot the ball three times and picked up an assist.

Newman shot the ball three times and secured a goal.

Brune shot the ball twice and claimed a goal.

Shelby Giebler tallied a shot and goal.

Brooks and Addison Wagner each shot the ball once.

Schatzl played all 80 minutes as the goalie and saved the ball once from seeing the net.
