Lady Eagles 1-2 After Opening Weekend

The Lady Eagles Soccer team started their 2022 season at the Warrenton Tournament on Friday and Saturday.

Sullivan faced St. Clair on Friday and the St. Louis Patriots and Fulton on Saturday.

Sullivan was defeated by St. Clair and St. Louis 1-0.

The Lady Eagles closed out with a 4-1 victory against Fulton.

Sullivan struck early in their final game.

They regrouped after the two tough losses and were victorious over the Lady Tigers.

Fulton tried to bounce back in the second half with a goal, but Sullivan outscored them with three more goals in the half.

Emma Brune scored two goals.

Emily Willman and Emma Adams each scored a goal as well. Brune picked up an assist as well on the day.

Maria Schatzl picked up the win in goal.

"I really felt like we outplayed everyone and could be 3-0 at the start of the year," said head coach Bill Kackley about the start of the season. "But we did struggle capitalizing on some really good opportunities."
