Golfers Finish Second At Mideast Tournament, Top Owensville In Dual
The Sullivan Eagles golf team finished in second place on Monday at the 2022 Mideast Tournament in Hillsboro. Sullivan also took down Owensville the next day at a dual.

The Eagles took second place at the Mideast Tournament in Hillsboro.
Three Sullivan players individually medaled. Logan Watters took sixth. Charlie Lohden claimed eighth and Kaleb White finished ninth.
Sullivan shot a total of 360 as a team and only fell to Seckman who had a 337. Seckman’s top players were Carter Ammel and Ian McDowell who each shot a 43.
Watters and Lohden each shot a par on hole one. Lohden shot another par on hole four and Watters walked away with a birdie on the same hole. Lohden shot four more pars on the day and finished with 92. Watters shot a 90 and White with 94. Luc Schuler finished with 135.
Blaine Sappington and Luke Todd played together in the scramble and placed third in the scramble division. They shot 84. Schuler and Watters played best ball together and had a score of 90.
Central Park Hills finished in third with 361.
Festus took fourth with 371.
Host, Hillsboro had 379.
Desoto got sixth with 387.
Windsor walked away in seventh with 409.
St. Plus made ninth with 446 points.
Farmington got tenth with 455 points.
Jefferson took 11th with 457 points.
Herculaneum finished 12th with 588.
Owensville
Sullivan was back in action the next day at Owensville. The Eagles surged past the Dutchmen 162-195.
White led the squad with a 36 on an overall par of 32.
Watters shot a 40. Lohden shot a 41, taking third in the team.
Todd got 45 and Sappington finished with 46.
The top Owensville player was Crew Epstein and he shot a 45. The rest of his team shot a 50 on the day.
