Girls Wrestling Gets Set For Districts
The Lady Eagles capped off their regular season with a bang. They were unpinnable at the Lady Owls Quad and the 7th Annual Lady Rebels Invitational.
Sullivan is gearing up for the Class 1 District 1 Tournament, which will be held from Feb. 14 to 15 at St. Clair.
Head coach Carl Lawrence has been preparing his wrestlers for what it takes to punch a ticket to Columbia. He explained, “The girls are where they need to be physically; the rest of the preparation is mental. We have to come into districts with a dominant mindset, leave it all on the mat one match at a time. Obviously, we want all our athletes to qualify for state, but they have to go out there and take it!”
Lady Owls Quad
The Lady Eagles battled in two duals at Windsor (Imperial) High School on Thursday, Feb. 6.
They first fell 48-24 to St. Clair, who racked up 42 points on forfeits.

Katie Summers (190) gave a tough fight to her opponent but could not walk away with a victory.
