Girls Wrestling Gears Up To Retake The Ring
The Lady Eagles capped off 2024 on top, taking third at the Steve Johnson Invitational in Jefferson City. They started their season with a ninth-place finish at Wright City, sixth at Owensville and tenth at Union.
Sullivan holds a 2-7 dual record as they head into Winter Break. Their two victories came in Marshfield, where they routed St. James 36-18 and Buffalo 35-18.
The Lady Eagles have hosted two home fights against Washington and Ste. Genevieve. They also battled Owensville and Potosi in a tri-meet.
Dorie Richardson (21-0) is currently undefeated in the final chapter of her high school career. She was the champion of the Wright City, Owensville, Union and Steve Johnson Invitationals.
Abigail Erfurth (17-5) clinched first at the Steve Johnson Invitational, capping off December on a high note. The sophomore also took silver in the Wright City and Owensville Tournaments and bronze in Union.
Ruby Daily (15-4) was the runner-up at the Wright City and Steve Johnson Invitationals. She also finished fourth in Owensville during her senior season on the mat.
Chloe Carson (13-9) entered Winter Break on top, running the table in Jefferson City for a first-place finish. The sophomore previously took third at Owensville, then fourth at Wright City and Union.
Katie Summers (10-14) began her senior year, finishing fifth at Wright City, seventh at Union and ninth at Owensville.
Freshman Autumn Hardesty (3-13) took fourth in Jefferson City and seventh in Owensville, then went unranked in Union.
Starr Hardesty (1-11) capped off December with a third-place medal at the Steve Johnson Invitational. She also landed fifth at Owensville for the first tournament of her sophomore year.
