Girls Soccer Defeats Laquey, North County

Sullivan’s girls soccer picked up two victories on the road. The Lady Eagles defeated Laquey on Tuesday, 3-1 and North County on Thursday, 6-0.

Cambria Pohlman has been a successful shooter so far this season and claimed a goal against Laquey.

Maria Schazl and Karen Dietzler were the two goalies in the shut out on Thursday.

Laquey

The Lady Eagles picked up the early week victory against Laquey. They scored two goals in the first half. Sullivan continued the motivation into the second half and claimed another goal. Laquey scored their only goal in the second half.

Jada Adams tallied a shot and goal on the game. Tessa Newman did the same. Pohlman scored a goal and shot the ball twice. Emily Wilman shot the ball once and Emma Brune shot the ball twice.

Molly Lohden grabbed two assists.

Schatzl played all 80 minutes as the goalie. She saved the ball six times from seeing the back of the net and gave up the one goal.

North County

Sullivan overpowered North County in the first half. The Lady Eagles ran away with the lead when they scored five unanswered goals in the first half. Sullivan sealed away the Lady Raiders when they landed another goal in the second half.

Adams scored two goals in the victory and shot the ball three times. Brune also shot the ball three times and grabbed a goal. Pohlman did the same as Brune and Willman shot the ball four times and got a goal. Addison Wagner tallied two shots and a goal. Newman notched two shots and so did Abby Smith.

Schatzl picked up the win as goalie and played the first half. Dietzler came in as relief for the second half of the game.

The Lady Eagles will continue their season at home this week against St. Clair and Festus on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursday, Sullivan will travel to face Fatima.
