Eagles Golf Falls In First Match

The Sullivan Eagles golf team opened their season at the Union Tournament.

Easton Purvis made his return to the green and was the top performer for the team.

Purvis shot a 96 and a 24 over par. He tied for 23rd with Union’s Dalton Adkins.

Matthew Mallory finished with a 139 and 67 over par, in 47th place.

St. James won the team championship with a 339 and was followed by Hermann with a 347.

Union took third with a 367 and Osage followed with a 369.

Hillsboro claimed fifth with a 372 and was followed by Borgia with a 373.

Pacific got seventh with a 399 and Waynesville followed with 404.

St. Clair rounded out the team scores with a 419.

Jackson Marcee of St. James and Hermann’s Trigg Lindahl were the overall medalists and shot a two over par with a 74.

Hillsboro’s Jack Prince took second with a 77 and five over par.

Wilson McDaniel and Hunter Redburn of St. James followed with 80 and 83.

Pacific’s Beau Anderson claimed fourth with a 85.

Waynesville’s Zach Hale and Hermann’s Emory Lindahl tied to round out the top five.
