Cross Country Places 2nd At St. James Invitational
Freshman Mariah Denney placed 1st again at the St. James Invitational, recording a time of 19:48.90. This comes a week after she finished at the top of her division at the Gans Creek Classic.
Freshman Eden Lambert medaled at 7th place with a time of 23:34.10 and 3 points, senior Breanna Mayberry (11) placed 17th at 25:15.40, senior Jade Studdard (16) secured 22nd at 26:35.30, junior Melody Brauninger (19) took 25th place at 26:45.50, senior Maria Schatzl (33) ranked 43rd at 31:42.30 and senior Alexandra McLain-Williams (40) made 51st at 34:42.00.
Sullivan finished in 2nd place behind Pacific with a total of 50 points and in a field of 58 participants.
Boys
Junior Abram Denney led the way for the boys’ 5K, finishing in 1st place with a time of 17:39.30.
Junior Zechariah Beagle also medaled, making 10th place with a time of 18:44.60 and 9 points. Freshman Ayden Duncan (20) placed 24th at 20:34.40, sophomore Aiden Lawrence (25) finished 31st at 21:27.90, freshman Sam Simmington (31) ranked 40th at 22:20.90, senior Parker Whaley (34) placed 43rd with a time of 22:47.20, sophomore Nolan Studdard (36) made 47th at 23:08.20 and senior Ian Studdard raced to 49th at 23:12.10.
Sullivan ranked 2nd place with 86 points, and there were 68 runners overall.
