Carsen Dudley Competes At State Golf Tournament
Carsen Dudley tied for 47th out of 92 golfers at the Class 3 State Tournament, held from May 19 to 20. He competed against Missouri’s best high school golfers on a course par of 72 at the Twin Hills Country Club in Joplin.
Dudley hit an 87 in his first round, then carded an 80 in his second, tallying a final score of 167. The junior made his second trip to state and improved upon his 69th-place finish from last year.
Dudley also capped off his season with all-district and first-team all-conference honors. He landed in 14th place with an 83 at the Class 3 District 1 Tournament and took third with a 79 at Four Rivers.
Eldon crowned themselves the Class 3 Champions with a 613. Dexter (613) was the runner-up, St. Charles West (628) received bronze, John Burroughs (633) placed fourth, Maryville (635) finished fifth, Logan-Rogersville (640) took sixth, Boonville (668) ranked seventh, Nevada (675) followed at eighth and St. James (688) rounded out the top nine.
