Athlete of the Week - Stevi Saling

I am excited to bring you Stevi Saling, Sullivan High School’s Athlete of the Week. Saling is a senior this year and has played volleyball since her freshman season. Right off the bat, it was evident that Saling was going to be an important part of Sullivan’s volleyball program. 

With their recent district championship win, Stevi played a huge role in bringing them the title. When asked, “How did you feel and prepare for the district game?” Stevi responded, “Leading up to the game, I was extremely nervous since it would decide whether my volleyball career would be over tonight or be extended to another game. I felt extremely pressured, as along with it being an extremely important game, it was also against one of our rival schools. Our focus before the game was to calm our nerves as much as we could and be confident in each other.” It seems they were extremely confident with their game and prepared right. I am sure they could not have been happier with the outcome.
