Wilma A. Medley

Wilma A. Medley, 68, of Sullivan, MO, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2022 at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO.

Wilma Ann was born on May 12, 1954 in Potosi, MO to Daniel and Catherine (Lalumondiere) Boyer.  She grew up and attended Old Mines School near Potosi.  Wilma was united in marriage to Steve Medley on October 20, 1970, and to this union they were blessed with two children, John and Crystal.  The family lived in Bourbon and Potosi before moving to Sullivan in 1995.

While raising her family, Wilma worked at the local shoe factory.  She was also a home health caregiver and eventually helped with the family business.  Wilma enjoyed being in nature, whether she was gazing at flowers, going camping, or getting to fish.  She loved to find the bargains while hitting the resale shops with her friends; however, her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Wilma is survived by her husband, Steve; one son, John Medley and wife Pam of Sullivan; one daughter, Crystal Smith of Potosi; two grandchildren, Dustin Breakfield and Hannah O’Brian; two great-grandchildren, Mia Breakfield and Allen O’Brian; nieces, nephews, other extended relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Ronnie Boyer.

Cremation arrangements have been made. There will be no services for Mrs. Medley.
