Wayne James Bell
Wayne James Bell, age 71 of Bourbon, MO passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan, MO.
Wayne was born on April 16, 1952 in Sullivan, Missouri to the late James Benton and Alice Elizabeth (Lantz) Bell. The Bell family made their home in Winona, MO for several years, returning to Sullivan when Wayne was in grade school. He would go on to attend Sullivan High School. Wayne was doted on by his parents and sister, Mariea.
Wayne was employed as a truck driver for many years. He moved furniture for United Van Lines, Mayflower and Von Daray. He really enjoyed traveling over the country and seeing first- hand the beauty and diversity of the United States.
Wayne had many friends. He enjoyed going to the river and just watching the water flow by. He loved old cars and was gifted at restoring them to their former beauty. He was quite a tinkerer and could fix most any older car. Wayne was a quiet reserved man who stayed to himself. His beloved dog, Sheba, a long-haired black lab was his constant and loving companion. Wayne was loved and cared for by his loving sister Mariea throughout his life.
Wayne is survived by his sister, Mariea Johanning and husband Ray of Bourbon, MO; nephew, Dustin Blunkall and wife Renee of Spring Bluff, niece, Sheila Walbrecht and husband Billy of Union, one great niece, Alice Miloshewski and husband Phil; two great-nephews, Jacob Blunkall and Samuel Roach; two great-great- nephews, Fletcher Dunn and Hudson Roach one great-great-niece, Spencer Dunn; his ex-wife Judy Bell; two step-daughters, Mary Courtouise and husband Chris and Tina Destefano and husband James; three step-grandchildren, Mika Studdard , Joshua Courtouise and Jessica Destefano, who called him Grandpa Wayne; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm, Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with Pastor Ronald Garner officiating.
Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Tuesday, at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
