Waif C. Rackley, Jr.

Waif C. Rackley, Jr. age 77 of Sullivan, MO passed away Monday, September 6, 2021 at his home.

Waif Cecil Rackley, Jr.  was born on July 14, 1944 in Doniphan, MO to Waif Cecil and Mary (Hicks) Rackley, Sr. He was united in marriage to Aloma Mayes on March 11, 1972 and they made their home in the Union area before moving to Sullivan in 2005. Waif was employed by Owens-Brockway Plastic Container in St. Louis, Missouri for 36 years, retiring in 2000. He was a member of Holy Martyrs of Japan Catholic Church and had attained the fourth degree in the Knights of Columbus. Waif enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time on the family farm. He was deeply loved by his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Waif is survived by his wife, Aloma Rackley of Sullivan, MO; nine children, twins daughters, Bobbie Rackley of Union, MO and Robbie Neville of Union, MO, Ronnie King of Lonedell, MO, Phillip King of Sullivan, MO,  Christopher Rackley of Sullivan, MO, Sean Rackley and Mikey Rackley both of Sullivan, MO, Terri McClure of St. Louis, MO, Jeri Bedwell of Piedmont, MO ; 16 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; four siblings, Pauline Williams of Doniphan, MO, Juanita Parsons of Michigan, Patricia Parson of Doniphan, MO and Doug Rackley of Sullivan, MO; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Waif was preceded in death by his parents, Waif and Mary Rackley, Sr.

Funeral Mass was celebrated at 11 a.m., Friday, September 10, 2021 at Holy Martyrs Catholic Church, Japan, MO with Father Tim Henderson officiating. Interment followed in Mid Lawn Memorial Gardens, Union, MO.

Visitation was from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, MO.
