Virginia Mae (Ginger) Lueken, 79 of Madison, MO passed away suddenly on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Boone Hospital in Columbia, MO.

Ginger was born on February 18, 1942 to Noble and Freda Bandy in Sullivan, MO. On May 29, 1960 she married Robert Lueken of Stanton, MO. They had one daughter, Tina Mae (Lueken) Bird. They lived in Stanton, MO until 1972 when they moved to Madison, MO. They then started a Diary Farm which became the family business for not only her daughter but also her grandson Robbie. Virginia or Ginger as most people knew her was Roberts right hand. She stood by his side for 46 years when he passed in 2007. Ginger loved her family, and she always made sure every day was a bit brighter for everyone. She enjoyed baby dolls and dress up with her grand daughters when they were younger. More recently she loved making silly tick tocks and playing with snap chat filters. She never left out her grandsons, they played pigs and cows, hunting and most of all cowboys. She also made sure everyone had a special birthday cake.

Ginger was a member of the Pleasant Green Baptist Church. She loved her church and the church family. She so enjoyed Bible study on Wednesday nights. Her past time was going to Wilcox Opry and Grandmas Opry in Perry. She loved the old-time country music. The last few years of her life she was so fortunate to get to spend her winters in Florida or Texas. She loved the beach.

Ginger is survived by her daughter Tina (Ernie) Bird of Madison, MO; three grandchildren, Amy Hombs of Centralia, MO, Robert Bird and Nicholas Bird both of Madison, MO; three great-grandchildren: Olivia, A.J., and Carley Hombs all of Centralia, MO; three sisters: Donna (John) Butyenek, of Sullivan, MO, Patsy (Howard) Luther of Buffalo, MO, Rose Bandy of Columbia, MO; three brothers-in-law: George (Carol) Lueken, Eugene (Jean) Lueken, Virgil (Kim) Lueken; two sisters-in-laws: Edna (Bob) Berti, and Juanita McKay all of Sullivan, MO; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at the Pleasant Green Baptist Church with Pastor Don Horn officiating. Visitation was held from 11 to the time of service on Saturday at the church. Burial was held in Hickory Grove Cemetery in Ash, MO. Agnew Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Pleasant Green Baptist church or the Monroe County Cancer Supporters.
