Tristan Christopher, 26, of Leasburg, Missouri, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 26, 2024 at his home.

Tristan Truitt Joseph Christopher was born on August 29, 1997, in Sullivan, Missouri, to Duane Christopher and Amanda Pierceall. Tristan's early years were spent in Bourbon, Missouri, where he grew up and attended school, graduating with the class of 2016. During his high school years, Tristan was involved in the marching and concert bands, where he played the trombone. His school spirit was infectious, and he often donned the Warhawk Mascot costume to rally his peers. Tristan also starred in dramas and competed in the Bourbon Athletic Association’s Soccer Leagues.

Tristan joined the Boy Scouts of America as a first grader and remained in the troop until achieving the Life Scout rank. As a young man, Tristan was also involved and attended services at Injoy Fellowship and could be found leading his peers in prayer each year during, “See You At The Pole.” After high school, Tristan briefly worked for Lowes, but his heart called him back to Camp Mihaska. Following in the footsteps of his great-great-grandfather, the camp director, Tristan found his happy place amidst the woods and waters he so dearly loved.

It was at a New Year's Eve party where Tristan's unique charm captivated Abbey New, the love of his life, with an unconventional pick-up line about a dead muskrat - that only he could pull off. Together they were later blessed with two beautiful children, Francesca and Truitt. Together, they built a life filled with love,  joy and laughter.

Tristan's generosity knew no bounds. He was the person who would stop to change a stranger's tire, offer hitchhikers a ride, or buy a meal for someone in need. His selflessness was as natural to him as breathing and his smile was a beacon of warmth in any room. His love for animals and wildlife was evident from childhood, as he and his brother Izaiha would often bring home various critters. At Camp Mihaska, he earned the nickname "NatureBoy," a nod to his affinity for the great outdoors.

An avid outdoorsman, Tristan enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, and spelunking. He had a profound love for water, especially the river, which was a source of peace and adventure for him. His sense of humor was unmatched, and he was known for being a practical joker who could charm anyone or any animal.

Tristan's interests were diverse; he was a movie enthusiast who loved the Avengers series and "WaterBoy." His love for children was immense, and he found joy in simple pleasures like bowling and playing pool. He had been a part of a bowling league since childhood and was always the dependable friend everyone could count on.

Tristan was a beacon of joy and kindness, leaving a legacy of laughter and generosity that will be cherished by many.
