Timothy Dean Beckett went to be with the Lord Saturday, December 3, 2022, surrounded by family at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, at the age of 59.  Tim was born in Bourbon, Missouri on March 23, 1963 to Dale and Anita (Pennock) Beckett.

Tim was raised at Hinch and in Bourbon, graduating from Bourbon High School in 1981. He was the youngest of three children. Along with his brother Marty, his sister Ladonna, and cousins, he grew up riding bikes, playing in the creek, walking to visit grandparents, and playing for hours in the dirt with his cars.  As he grew older, he enjoyed riding his mini bike, riding motorcycles, playing basketball, building bonfires and campfires, and setting off fireworks for gatherings of family and friends.

In high school, Tim began dating the love of his life, Tracey Lawrence, whom he later married October 5, 1985. Two children, Ashley Nicole and Rolla Walter were born to their union, whom they raised together in Bourbon across from Tim’s childhood farm and home.

Tim was raised in church and was a long-time follower of Christ and faithful member of Lasting Hope Assembly of God in Bourbon where he served as Deacon, Sunday School teacher, and in other roles. Tim worked for various companies including Paramount Apparel, IWP, Steelweld Equipment, and Executive Wood, but was most known for the cabinetry and woodwork that he crafted in his self-owned shop for 15+ years starting in 1992.

In addition to his craftsmanship, Tim was known for his friendly, fun-loving personality, easy laugh, and ready smile. He had a special knack with children and was a great dad, uncle, and grandpa. He enjoyed music, enjoyed making fudge and other things like salsa and jerky. He continued to love motorcycles, jet skis, ATVs, fireworks and any chance to be a daredevil. He enjoyed hunting and the outdoors, travelling, get-togethers with friends, and had a special place in his heart for pets, especially his dog and constant companion, Bailey.

Tim is survived by his wife Tracey of Bourbon, MO; a daughter Ashley Robb and husband Jimmy of Bourbon, MO; a son Rolla Beckett and wife Katie of Bourbon, MO; three grandchildren: Collin Robb and Walker and Wrenley Beckett; his mother Anita Schmidt and father Dale Beckett both of Bourbon, MO; a brother Martin Beckett and wife Tricia of Bourbon, MO; a sister LaDonna Hartwick and husband Dennis, of Bourbon, MO; his beloved puppy dog, Bailey; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Tim was preceded in death by grandparents, father-in-law Denver Lawrence, and sister-in-law Kathy Beckett, and step-father Norman Schmidt.

Funeral Service will be at 1 PM, Thursday, December 8, 2022 at the Lasting Hope Assembly of God with Pastors: Frank Brooks, James Austin and Derik Ruble officiating. Interment will follow at Hardy Cemetery in Bourbon.

Visitation will be 10 AM – 1 PM, Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Lasting Hope Assembly of God prior to the funeral service.
