Thomas Edward Williamson, 83, of Sullivan, passed away, Friday, October 1, 2021, at his home.

He was born on March 10, 1938, in Mount Vernon, Ohio.

Thomas attended St. Vincent DePaul Catholic School in Mount Vernon, Ohio.

He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.

Thomas was united in marriage to Barbara (Padgett) August 5, 1962, in Lynwood, California.

He retired from Cassens Auto Terminals after many years of employment.

Thomas was a member the Eagles Lodge in Sullivan as well as a parishioner of St. Anthony’s.

He was a talented man with many hobbies. Thomas loved woodworking, birdwatching, gardening, fishing and biking. He was also a talented musician and could play an array of instruments, guitar, steel guitar, mandolin, harps and harmonica. If Thomas didn’t know how to play an instrument, he would teach himself. Most of all, Thomas loved his family very much.

He was preceded in death by various family and other relatives.

Thomas is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara Williamson of Sullivan; son, Lance Williamson and wife Michelle of Sullivan; daughter, Teresa Williamson of Sullivan; two grandchildren, Josie and Ethan Williamson of Sullivan; other relatives and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to Lungevity, for lung cancer research.
