Terry Wolfsberger, 86, of Ballwin, MO, formerly of Sullivan, MO, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.

Terry Louis Wolfsberger was born December 10, 1934, to Leonard and Mary Louise (McNamara) Wolfsberger.  He grew up and attended school at Brentwood, graduating from Brentwood High School in 1951.  After briefly attending Washington University he enlisted in the US Army in 1956 and honorably served our country before his discharge in 1963.  During his time in the service, Terry was stationed at Fort Lewis in Washington state.  In 1957 he married Kaye Sanchey and to this union three children were born:  Terry, Kim, and Leslie.  Upon his discharge the family returned to St. Louis to raise their family.  Terry set his sights on business during this time as he became the founder of two companies, first Pak-Co and eventually Forest Products.  In 1979, Terry was united in marriage to Patricia Bylo and to this union, there were two daughters:  Angela and Robin.  They moved to Sullivan in the early 80s where they lived many years and Terry continued to operate his business, Forest Products until his retirement.  The couple eventually returned to Ballwin to make their final home.

Many will remember Terry as a “Wild Gentleman”.  He had a tremendous sense of adventure and enjoyed many life experiences in different places with different people.  His many adventures included deep sea fishing excursions, gold prospecting expeditions, bronc riding and even “hunting for Big Foot”.  He enjoyed the simple things in life also, like hunting, fishing, and golfing.  Terry had a love for animals of all kinds and was known for his sense of humor that included pranks.

Over the years he was member of both St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Ballwin.  He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Terry is survived by his wife, Patty; his children:  Terry Wolfsberger, Kim Wolfsberger both of White Swan, WA, Leslie Fine and husband, Jay of Yakima, WA, Angela Rubenstein and husband, Jeff of Los Angeles, CA and Robin Wolfsberger of Ballwin; seven grandchildren:  Terry Wolfsberger Jr., David Fine, Denny Negle, Danika Pimms, Jonathan Weiskopf, Brittany Weiskopf, & Taylor Fuchs; five great grandchildren:  Shiala, Keegan, Neveah, Zaira & Talia; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Don Wolfsberger.

A Memorial Mass was held at 2 p.m., Thursday, September 16, 2021 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Father Paul Telken celebrating. Military Honors took place outside the church following the mass.

Visitation was 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the church prior to the mass.

Memorial contributions may be made in Terry’s memory to the Sullivan Knights of Columbus.
