Born on August 29, 1956, at Hayti, MO, she was a generous and courageous woman who touched the lives of many.

Teresa was born in Hayti, MO and lived in Portageville, MO, where she started her schooling. She later moved to St. Clair, MO, and continued her education until her illness prevented her from attending.  As a young girl, she began working in area restaurants, such as the Tri-County Truck Stop and the Bobber Cafe, showcasing her talent as a cook. Together, Teresa and Clyde raised three children: Doug, Shawn, and Carla. Teresa loved being a homemaker and caring for her family. After her mother’s tragic passing at a young age, Teresa brought her younger siblings into her home and raised them alongside her own children. Her dedication to her loved ones was truly remarkable.

Teresa was known for her love of hosting and cooking for family gatherings, and her famous “no bake cheesecake” was revered by all who tasted it. She enjoyed spending time with her family and playing bingo with friends. Although she did not like having her picture taken, she enjoyed scrapbooking memories for her family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Clyde of Sullivan, MO; three children: Doug Erxleben and wife, Summer of Waynesville, MO, Shawn Erxleben and wife, Nancy, and Carla Brendel and husband, Kevin, all of Sullivan; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her stepmother, Ruth Thacker of Sullivan; five brothers: Steve Thacker and wife, Debbie of St. Clair, MO, Danny Thacker and wife, Marsha of Branson, MO, Mark Thacker of Portageville, MO, Mike Busse and wife, Michelle of Sullivan, Keith Thacker of Washington, MO, John Thacker and wife, Athena of St. Clair, MO, Scott Thacker and wife Amanda, and Joe Thacker, all of Sullivan; four sisters: Sheilia Stumpe and husband, Mark of Sullivan, Amanda Richards and husband, Clay of Poplar Bluff, MO, Holly Thacker and Jessica Woodbee and husband, Brian all of Sullivan; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
