Teresa Ann Bouse
Teresa Ann Bouse passed away peacefully on July 3, 2023, in St. Clair, Missouri. Born on July 20, 1956, in Sullivan, Missouri, Teresa's life was characterized by kindness, generosity, and a unique sense of humor that brought joy to all who knew her.
Teresa was born on July 20, 1956 in Sullivan to the late Dale H. and Catherine Ruth (Livingston) Bouse. She attended Strain Japan R-16 grade school and Sullivan High School before obtaining her GED later in life. Her work life was diverse and included roles as a waitress, cashier, babysitter, and employee at the Paramount Cap Factory. However, what truly defined Teresa's life was her dedication to her family. For many years, she was a stay-at-home mom and caregiver, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Teresa is survived by her daughter, Catherine Kuhn, and her husband, Matthew of Festus, MO. Her three grandchildren, Kaylin, Jackson, and Barrett, were her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She is also survived by her two sisters; Sharon Farris of Sullivan, MO, and Donna Koepke and her husband Jerry of Grand Prairie, Texas; her special cousins, Pat and Alana Immekus and Mary Kay Fague; a very special niece Vickie Calloway and her husband, Kenny, and her dear friend, Sheila Piggot of Leasburg, MO. Teresa's large, close-knit family also includes many special nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Catherine Bouse; her two brothers, Eugene and David Bouse; her brother-in-law, Lloyd “Cannonball” Farris, Her uncle Robert Livingston, Her two Aunts Helen and Mary, as well as a special family member, Wally Fague. Their memories remained a constant source of strength and inspiration for Teresa throughout her life.
Teresa's interests were as diverse as they were unique. She was an avid collector of rocks and Smokey the Bear memorabilia and was affectionately known as the "Guinea whisperer" for her love of raising Guinea fowl. She relished the simple pleasures of life, such as: embroidery, gardening, walking in the woods, finding shapes in the clouds, and going on float trips or just a little backroad cruise. Those who knew Teresa well will always remember her as an individual of spice and spunk, someone whose presence always brought life to any party.
Teresa’s kindness, generosity, and sense of humor truly set her apart. She had a knack for making people laugh, and her generosity knew no bounds. Teresa's kind-heartedness touched the lives of all who knew her, and her legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
