Susan Y. Politte

Susan Y. Politte, 66, of Cuba, Missouri passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at SSM St. Clare Hospital – Fenton.

Susan Yvonne Politte was born October 13, 1955 in Sullivan, Missouri to James and Rose (Isgriggs) Politte. She grew up and attended school in the Sullivan area before being united in marriage to Butch Fore. Soon after they married, they moved to California while Butch was serving in the United States Navy, and were blessed with two daughters, Tammy and Angie. As a family, they moved back to Missouri, but Susan and Butch were later divorced.

Susan continued raising her daughters in the Sullivan area while working various jobs. She then met her long-time life companion, Kent Renshaw. They shared countless memories together over the past 20 years. Susan and Kent were also blessed with raising their great-granddaughter, Khali.

Susan enjoyed spending time competing in women’s slow pitch softball, bowling leagues, and shopping. She also loved to collect ceramic keepsake frogs. Susan was a phenomenal cook and crocheter. She always made sure to crochet a new blanket for all of the grandchildren, great–grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Susan was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great–grandmother. She will be so dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Susan is survived by her loving companion, Kent Renshaw of Cuba, MO; two daughters, Tammy Humphrey and husband Barry of Winfield, MO and Angie Bartle and husband Cory of Sullivan, MO; six grandchildren: Tara Lehman and husband Alexander, Sarah Gunter and husband Matt, BJ Humphrey, Austin Bartle, Logan Harms and husband Jesse, and Gage Bartle; three great-grandchildren: Khali, David, and Luke; her mother, Rose Schmidt and husband Bill of Sullivan, MO; five brothers: Ronnie Politte and wife Debbie of Defiance, MO, Kenny Politte and wife Vicki of Sullivan, MO, Marty Politte of Sullivan, MO, Gary Gargus and wife Danica of Manchester, MO, and Kevin Hedges and wife Robyn of Sullivan, MO; two sisters, Patti Carey and husband Alan of Sullivan, MO and Becky Webb of Cuba, MO; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Madison Bartle; and her father, James Politte.

Funeral Services was 12 p.m., Thursday, August 4, 2022 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan. Interment followed in Crow Cemetery.

Visitation was 10 – 12 p.m., Thursday, prior to the service at Eaton Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the Art and Soul Madison Bartle Memorial Scholarship Fund.
