Steven Trent Bobbitt

Steven Trent Bobbitt was born on July 30, 1961, in St. Louis, Missouri, and passed away in the morning hours of May 16, 2024.
Steven (Steve) grew up in Ballwin, Missouri. He loved sports, music and dogs. He excelled in all sports, but his favorite was baseball. He played for the Ballwin American Legion Baseball team as well as for Missouri Baptist College. He enjoyed listening to K-SHE Classics and going to Gypsy concerts. His love for dogs began at an early age. He trained his first champion, Lindsey, while still in college. He opened Creekview Kennels in Bourbon, Missouri, in 1998.
He married Missy Herman Bobbitt on October 17, 1998. They had one daughter, Morgan Paige Bobbitt. Together, the three were inseparable.
Steve was a dedicated husband, father and friend. His passions included attending all of Morgan’s softball games, competing in dog sports, and taking a spin on one of his motorcycles. His love for animals has been passed on to his daughter, who shows their beloved dogs in confirmation and will continue his legacy by showing his personal dogs. He was always grateful to have a daughter that traveled with him to many dog shows, and a wife that supported their endeavors as well as keeping their show dogs pristine. It was the perfect team.
Steve was humorous and loved to tell a good story. He truly enjoyed his Lowe’s family. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Steve is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Missy Bobbitt of Bourbon, MO; a daughter, Morgan Bobbitt of Bourbon, MO; two brothers, Chuck Bobbitt and wife Christy of Wildwood, MO, and Mike Bobbitt of Cincinnati, OH; a sister, Kim Trimble and husband Mike of Lake Saint Louis, MO; mother-in-law, Jean Herman; a brother-in-law, Jeff Herman; nephews and nieces: Jason Bobbitt and wife Heather, Candice Bobbitt, Cole Herman, Saylor Herman and Kai Herman; great nieces and nephews; a host of beloved dogs; other relatives and many friends.
