Sidney Lee Pulling, 79, of Cedar Hill, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, July 1, 2021.

Sidney Lee Pulling was born on February 4, 1942 in Binghamton, NY, to Henry Ward and Doris (Snow) Pulling. He grew up and attended school in the Binghamton area, competed his GED early and then enlisted into the United States Army. He honorably served our country for six years. During his service, he was stationed in various places, such as Alaska, Germany and Washington state. While in the Army, Sidney took a course in Signal Training and worked as a repairman for communications.

Shortly after his discharge, Sidney went to work for Bell South for some time. Later, he gained employment from Emerson Electric as a machinist, and finally, Missouri Metals, from which he retired in 2006. Sidney married Kathy Pulling and they were blessed with two children, Brian and Becky. Sadly, they later divorced.

Later in life, Sidney was united in marriage to Debra Curfman on March 26, 1983. From their union he gained a daughter, Christina. Sidney and Debra enjoyed traveling to Branson, Atlantic City, New York, and especially the Mark Twain Lakes and Landing.

Sidney loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren. He took every opportunity to spoil them, as they would travel to various places together. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether he was hunting, fishing or sometimes camping. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by many.

Sidney is survived by two daughters: Christina Bedrosian and husband, Tony, of Leasburg, MO, & Rebecca Pierce and husband Patrick of Imperial, MO; a son, Brian Pulling and wife, Sandy, of O’Fallon, MO; six grandchildren: Nathan Pulling of O’Fallon, MO, Anthony Bedrosian and wife, Victoria, of Sullivan, Michael Heigl, Gino Bedrosian, & Robert and Bo Pierce of Imperial, MO; two great-grandchildren: Roman and Benton Heigl; a brother, Ward Pulling of NY; special friends, Kenny and Georgia Courtaway of Cedar Hill, MO; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Debra; his parents, Henry & Doris Pulling; two brothers, Ivan & Burr; and one sister, Lois.

Visitation for Sidney was 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at the Eaton Funeral Home.

Graveside Services were 12 p.m., Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Schmidt Cemetery with military honors and Pastor John Blackmore officiating.
