Sandra “Sandy” Deanne Drier

Sandra “Sandy” Deanne Drier, 61, of Sullivan, MO, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, March 6, 2022.

Sandy was born in San Diego, CA, on February 2, 1961, to Robert E. West and Jacqueline J. Norbeck. She grew up and attended Lindbergh school in Crestwood, MO. She then went to work for Brown Shoe Co. Sandy was united in marriage to Brian Woodcock in 1982, and to their union three children were born: Elizabeth, Tyler and Dustin. They resided in Sullivan, and raised their children here. Sadly, Brian and Sandy later divorced.

On November 30, 2010, Sandy was united in marriage to John Drier. Sandy was happy to gain another daughter, Tara. Through the years, Sandy really enjoyed taking trips with John, as he was an over-the-road truck driver.

Sandy loved gardening, flowers, camping, crocheting, and hosting family gatherings. She also loved her dogs, Gus, Kramer, Josey and Maggie. Sandy will be lovingly remembered and missed by her family and friends.   

Sandy is survived by her husband, John Drier, of Sullivan, MO; four children: Elizabeth Halmick of Sullivan, MO, Tyler Woodcock and wife Khelsey of Potosi, MO, Dustin Woodcock of Sullivan, MO and Tara Miller of Sullivan, MO; five grandchildren: Grace and Grant Halmick, Allie and Annie Woodcock and Narhyia Corson; her step-mother, Sue West of Hollister, MO; one brother, Robert Stone and significant other, Ashley Rohr, of Wildwood, MO; three sisters: Pam Meitz and husband Thomas of Las Vegas, NV, Debi West of Fenton, MO and Barb Philips and husband Brad of Wichita, KS; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert E. West; and her mother, Jacqueline J. Norbeck.

A Remembrance Memorial Service was 12 p.m., Thursday, March 10, 2022 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, with Pastor Tom Thompson officiating.

Visitation was held from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., Thursday, prior to the service at Eaton Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions in Sandy’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
