Rose Marie Scott, 100, of Sullivan, Missouri, passed away at her home on Saturday, May 28, 2022.

Rose was born in St. Louis, Missouri on March 6, 1922 to Nunzio Farace and Santa Giovdano. She grew up and attended school in the area, and later met her husband, Robert, as a teenager. They were united in marriage in 1945 while Robert was serving in the United States Army during WWII. Robert and Rose were blessed with two sons, Robert and James. They raised their family in the Saint Louis area while Rose was a homemaker and worked outside of the home as a laborer in different factories.

Rose loved everything outdoors and was a tremendous gardener. She also served alongside her husband Robert in Cub Scouts and became a “Den Mother”. Rose was also a great cook, and above all, she was a devoted wife and mother. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by many.

Rose is survived by her two sons, James Scott and partner Lisa Hill of Sullivan, Missouri and Robert Scott of Shiloh, IL; a granddaughter, Megan Scott of Tallahassee, FL; and a great-grandson, Oliver Scott of Tallahasse, FL; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Rose was laid to rest at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on Friday, June 3, 2022.
