Rose M. West, 71, of Lonedell, MO passed away at her home on Thursday, September 8, 2022.

Rose Marie West was born on December 12, 1950 in Kolby, KS to Clair D. and Mary Ellen (Durbin) Weems. She grew up and attended school in St. Louis, mostly in the Lafayette area. Rose was blessed with two children, Gwendolyn “Wendy” and Clarence “Bubby”. She raised her children in Lonedell, where she lived for most of her adult life. Rose loved the fact that the locals in Lonedell knew her as “crazy Rose”. She loved people in general and wanted to see everyone rise above their troubles and setbacks in life.

Rose worked for Franklin County Probation & Parole for ten years, as well as for a rehabilitation center called White Deer. She also owned and operated West Cleaning Services from 1998-2008. Rose enjoyed antiques and gardening and she especially loved her puppy, Knothead.

Rose is survived by her significant other of 27 years, David Bright, of Lonedell, MO; her two children, Wendy Beebe and husband Steven of Bourbon, MO and Bubby West and wife Amber of Robertsville, MO; two grandchildren, Tara and Maddy West; one brother, Robert Weems and wife Vicki of Ballwin, MO; her puppy, Knothead; along with other extended relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Brianna Rose Hoerath; her parents, Clair and Mary Weems; her sister, Teri Nappier and her husband Jim.

Memorial Services were held at 12 p.m., Thursday, September 15, 2022 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.

Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Thursday, prior to the service at Eaton Funeral Home.
