Rose M. Turnbull

Rose M. Turnbull, 80, of Gerald, Missouri passed away at her home, with her loving husband by her side, on Sunday, September 25, 2022.

Rose Marie was born on March 6, 1942 in Saint Louis, Missouri to Ernest and Rosanne (Phelan) Lee. She grew up and attended grade school at Saint James Catholic School and graduated from Saint Johns High School. Shortly after graduating high school, Rose went to work at Bell Telephone for a few years.

She was united in marriage to Lewis Turnbull on February 5, 1966, and to this union they were blessed with two sons, Keith and John. As a family, they lived in Florissant, then Saint Louis, while Rose was a homemaker. She was active in the Catholic church while living in Florissant, and her and Lew enjoyed working church gatherings together. In August of 2000, they moved to Gerald, MO to escape the city life. Lew was retired at this time and they enjoyed living on their farm and tending to their cattle and chickens. Rose attended a local Baptist Church where she became a member and was baptized.

Rose was a devoted and faithful wife, mother and grandmother.

Rose is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Lewis Turnbull, of Gerald, MO; three children: Keith Turnbull and wife, Theresa, of Saint Louis, MO, John M. Turnbull and wife, Tamara, of Fenton, MO, and Tracy L. Bruning and husband, Kirk, of Lone Jack, MO; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Delores Suda; other extended relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Rosanne Lee; one brother, James Lee; and one sister, Audrey Richarz.

Graveside Services were held at 11 a.m., Friday, September 30, 2022 at the I.O.O.F Cemetery in Sullivan with Father Tim Henderson officiating.
