Ronnie K. Tackitt, 75, of Sullivan, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 27, 2023.

Ronnie Keith Tackitt was born August 6, 1948, in Olney, Illinois, to Frank and Gladys Tackitt. Ronnie grew up and attended school in California, where he attended local school and was a high school graduate. After school, Ronnie went to work for the Menwax Factories in Flora, IL, and remained there for a successful 25+ year career.

In 1980, Ronnie met and married the love of his life, Helen Cline, and inherited eight children and considered each of them as one of his own. Together, Ronnie and Helen enjoyed attending church and serving in different capacities. Ronnie loved to sing his favorite southern gospel songs and worship the Lord.

Ronnie along with Helen, enjoyed hosting jamborees with some of their senior friends where there would be live music and dancing; a good time was had by all. He was also a true patriot and loved his country. Ronnie even went as far as repairing tattered United States flags for many businesses and even flags for the state capitols.

Above all, Ronnie loved people and was always found to be compassionate and kind. He truly exemplified the love of Christ and looked forward to going home to be with the Lord. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Ronnie is survived by four children: Gary Cline, Billy Cline and Roy Dale and wife Shelly of Flora, IL, Edna Hale and husband, Jimmy and Becky Bearse and husband, Dave; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great – great – grandchildren; a sister, Vicki Cline and husband, Joe; nieces and nephew: Gina Taylor and husband, Stacy, Carrie Fowler and husband, Anthony and Dwight Cline and wife Amber; many great nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen; a granddaughter, Dusty; his parents, Frank and Gladys Fowler; a brother, Deon Tackitt; three sons: Wesley, Robert and Joe Cline; and three daughters in law: Brenda, Laura and Trena.

A Memorial Service will be planned for a future date.

Memorial contributions may be made towards Ronnie’s funeral expenses.
