Ronald Missey

Ronald Albert Missey, 62, of Rolla, MO, passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Phelps Health Hospital in Rolla, MO.

Ronald was born on April 21, 1959 in Sullivan, MO, to Clarence Albert and Helen (Miller) Missey. He attended school at Sullivan Elementary and Bourbon High School for his freshman and sophomore years. For his last two years he attended and graduated from W. B. Ray High School in Corpus Christi, Texas. Ron then served his country in the United States Air Force. He was united in marriage to Paula Sue Strosnider on September 4, 1982. Together, they were blessed with two sons, Jacob and David.

Ron was employed by Harmon Becker in Washington, MO, the Hartman Egg Carton Factory, and lastly, by the Boeing Company, from which he retired from in April 2021. Ron enjoyed watching sports, especially football, deer hunting, reading, gaming and watching television. He was a great father and will be missed by his family and friends.

Ron is survived by his wife, Paula Missey, of Rolla, MO; two sons, Jacob Missey and wife, Ruby, of Rolla, MO, and David Missey of Rolla, MO; a grandson, Albert Ronald Missey, (son of Jacob & Ruby) arriving on September 17, 2021; his father, Clarence Missey and wife, Karen, of Potosi, MO; siblings:  Dianna Lowery of Columbia, MO, Deanna Clark and husband Wayne of Apple Valley, CA, Julie Klocke of Columbia, MO; Jason Brett and wife, Jennifer, of Clever, MO, Scott Missey and wife, Audra, of Texas, Michele Gosche and husband, David of Cape Girardeau, MO, Clint Knuckles of Bourbon, MO and Kimberly Pitts and husband, Kurt; step-father, Carter Knuckles of Bourbon, MO; nieces and nephews, cousins other extended relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Knuckles.

Graveside Services were held 10 a.m., Monday, August 30, 2021 in Bourbon Cemetery.
