Roger Lee Bouse

Roger Lee Bouse, 81, of Sullivan, MO, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Roger was born on September 3, 1940 on Cicero Creek. He attended and graduated from the Bourbon High School, class of 1958. Roger met and married the love of his life, Anna Belle Lueken, on June 17, 1962. To this union they had one son, Justin.
Roger grew up on a farm and spent the majority of his life farming. He not only raised his own cattle, but purchased and sold cattle for others. He was a longtime member of the Franklin County Cattleman’s Association. Roger was self-employed for a large portion of his life prior to going to work for the City of Sullivan Street Department until he retired at age 70. He retired from raising cattle when he was 80.
He was a devoted family man whose relationship with his son was unmatched. Roger adored Megan. He enjoyed doting on his granddaughters and loved spending every moment that he could with them. Roger enjoyed the outdoors in his free time, especially hunting and fishing. A kind and loving husband, dad, grandpa, brother, and uncle, he will be missed by all who knew him.
Roger is survived by his son, Justin Bouse and partner Megan Emmi of Sullivan, MO; beloved twin granddaughters, Julie Ann and Jenna Rose Bouse; four of his siblings: Jerry Bouse and wife Pat of Willard, MO, Nancy Keeney and husband Jerry of St. Louis, MO, Larry Bouse and wife Catherine of Buffalo, WY, and Peggy Farmer of Bourbon, MO, sister-in-law, Betty Bouse of Sullivan, MO; the Lueken brothers and sisters; other in-laws, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Belle (Lueken) Bouse; his parents, Carl and Rosetta (Dace) Bouse; one brother, Charles Bouse; and one brother-in-law, Clyde “Magoo” Farmer.
Funeral services were 11 a.m., Saturday, May 28, 2022 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with Pastor Chester Lahmann officiating. Interment will follow in I.O.O.F. Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, May 27, 2022 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Roger’s memory may be made to the Meramec Community Fair Livestock Youth Program.
