Robert William "Bob" Heinle, a devoted family man, loyal friend, and respected member of the Sullivan community, passed away on June 29, 2023 at the age of 73.

Born on July 18, 1949, in St. Louis, MO, Bob grew up and attended school in his hometown, graduating from Hazelwood High School in 1967. He then briefly attended MS&T in Rolla, where he played football, before embarking on a seven-year journey with the US Navy.

Bob's dedication to his country was only surpassed by his love for his family. In August 1968, he married the love of his life, Barbara Davis, and the couple was blessed with three sons: Jim, Steven, and Bill. After living in various places during his Navy service, Bob returned to Sullivan to raise his family, instilling in his sons the same hardworking ethic he embodied.

Bob was a true jack of all trades, with a career spanning mechanic work, carpentry, real estate, appraisal work, and business management. He was a respected and trustworthy figure, not only within his family but also within the community. His contributions extended beyond his professional life; he was instrumental in the development of youth soccer in Sullivan and enjoyed umpiring baseball games.

Beyond his work and community involvement, Bob had a deep love for sports and woodworking. He often supplied his creations to various community members, including the Sullivan Middle School Drama Club. He also enjoyed simple pleasures like visiting Lowe's and window shopping at Harbor Freight stores. But it was his family that truly held his heart, and he cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his three sons, Jim Heinle and his wife, Shannon of Sullivan, MO, Steven Heinle and his wife, Sherri of Imperial, MO, and Bill Heinle and his wife, Shannon of Sullivan, MO; seven grandchildren: Jessica Berti and husband, Austin, Alyssa Heinle and husband, Joe Rigdon and Emmy Juergens and husband, Ryan all of Sullivan, Amber Heinle of Imperial, MO, Dane Jackson of Columbia, MO, Tanner Jackson and Trey Guill both of Sullivan; seven great-grandchildren: Haley, Brock, Marlowe Grace, Elowyn, Noah, Hazel, and Delano; a brother, John Heinle and wife, Dolly of Florissant, MO, a sister, Judy Cornelius and husband, John of St. Louis, MO, a sister-in-law, Sue Davis of Las Vegas, NV, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
