Robert Cain

Robert Cain, 90 of Sullivan, MO passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at his home with his wife and family by his side.

Robert Lee was born on October 6, 1932 in Sullivan, MO one of five children born to Burl Richard and Bertha Ann (Hansel) Cain.  He was united in marriage to Fern M. Mincemeyer on July 25, 1964. Robert and Fern celebrated 59 years of marriage. Robert was self-employed as a painter for most of his life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and collecting guns and knives. He also enjoyed going to the river, playing pool and was the neighborhood grass cutter. Robert attended St. Matthew Lutheran Church and will be missed by his family and friends.

Robert is survived by his wife Fern Cain of Sullivan, MO; two children, Cheryl Earl and husband Mickael of Sullivan, MO, Alan Cain and wife Christine Lambing of Sullivan, MO; two grandchildren, David Bruns and Mikayla Earl and fiancé Andrew Eye all of Sullivan, MO; one great-grandchild, Kamdyn Eye; one sister, Mary Jane Miller of Eunice, MO, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Along with his parents, Robert was preceded in death by three brothers, Melvin, Norman and Vernon Cain.

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 PM, Monday, March 20, 2023 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Sullivan with Pastor Lew Ensor officiating. Interment will follow in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Sullivan, MO

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Monday, March 20, 2023 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Sullivan, MO.
