Rebecca Hodges

Rebecca R. Hodges, 78, of Sullivan, MO, formerly of Potosi, MO, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan.

Rebecca was born April 27, 1943 in Elvins, MO, to Raymond Wendell and Pearly June (Wisdom) Morris. She attended and graduated from Sullivan High School, class of 1961. She was united in marriage to Lloyd E. Hodges on September 1, 1962 in Esther, MO, and three children were born to their marriage: Lloyd, Eva and Steven.

Rebecca was employed by Paramount Cap in Bourbon for several years. At age 45, she obtained an Associate’s Degree from Mineral Area College. Rebecca was employed by the Potosi Prison System as a secretary and maintenance clerk for 17 years. In her spare time, Rebecca enjoyed reading, flower gardening and family gatherings. As a young lady, Rebecca lived in Colorado. She truly loved it there and returned several times to visit. Colorado will be her final resting place.

Rebecca is survived by her three children: Lloyd Hodges of Potosi, MO, Eva Hodges of Bunker, MO, and Steven Hodges and wife, Heather, of Dixon, MO; six grandchildren: Shannan French of Pevely, MO, Anthony Hodges of St. Charles, MO, Cheyenne Davis of Bunker, MO, Evan Deckard of Springfield, MO, Nolan Deckard of Columbia, MO, and Vivan Hodges of Dixon, MO; two great-grandchildren: Parker and Avery French, both of Pevely, MO; four siblings: Ray Morris and wife, Marcella, of Owensville, MO, Anna Teeter of Sullivan, MO, Jackie Wigger and husband, Dale, of Sullivan, MO, and Dora Scott and husband, Johnny, of Nixa, MO; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Hodges; her parents, Raymond and Pearly Morris; one sister, Katie Ware; and one brother, Steven Morris.

Rebecca’s wishes were to be cremated. There are no services planned at this time.

Arrangements were made under the care of Eaton Funeral Home of Sullivan.
