Ralph Finn

Ralph E. Finn, Sr., 90, of Arnold, MO, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Meramec Nursing Center in Sullivan.
Ralph Eugene was born January 12, 1931 in St. Louis, MO, to William H. and Vesta Mae (Johnson) Finn. After finishing eighth grade, Ralph went to work painting with his father. He entered in to the United States Navy during the Korean War and served our country until he was honorably discharged in November of 1953.
Ralph was united in marriage to Eileen Hubert on October 11, 1958 and to their union four children were born: Ralph Jr., Jeff, Eric and Rebekah. They raised their family in North St. Louis County – Hazelwood area, while Ralph was a self-employed painter for Ralph Finn Painting. Ralph eventually retired and he and Eileen moved to Arnold. Sadly, Eileen passed away on January 29, 2014, and Ralph spent his final years near family in Sullivan.
Through the years, Ralph enjoyed traveling with Eileen. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, as well as a garden enthusiast. He also enjoyed home remodeling and repairs. Ralph will be dearly missing and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.
Ralph is survived by his four children: Ralph Finn, Jr. and wife Linda of Sullivan, MO, Jeff Finn and wife Kristi of St. Peters, MO, Eric Finn of Thousand Oaks, CA, and Rebekah Wiegand and husband Dan of Fenton, MO; eight grandchildren: Melissa Harmon and husband Jeremiah of Santa Clarita, CA, Angie Blue and husband Tony of Sullivan, MO, Aaron Dilks and wife Kerry of Villa Ridge, MO, Ryan, Shawn and Claire Finn, all of St. Peters, MO, Jason Burt of Ventura, CA, and Garrett Wiegand of Fenton, MO; nine great-grandchildren: Lily, Lauren, Caroline, Alisen, Chase, Zoe, Eryn, Jack and Marley; two great-great-grandchildren, Dean and Riley; one brother, William Finn of Pueblo, CO; one sister, Frances Groves of Florissant, MO; one brother-in-law, Paul Hubert of Winfield, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews, other extended relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen; his parents, William and Vesta Finn; three sisters: Mary Lou Cook, Odetta DeBoer and Maggie Finn; and a daughter-in-law, Candy Finn.
A Memorial Service was held 3 p.m., Saturday, July 31, 2021 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, with Pastor John Blackmore officiating. In honor of his service to our country, military honors were performed following the service.
Visitation was held from 1 p.m.–3 p.m., Saturday, prior to the service at Eaton Funeral Home.
