Patty M. Neff

Patty M. Neff, 57, of Bourbon, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Missouri Baptist Hospital – Saint Louis.

Patty Marie Ann Neff was born June 2, 1966 to Donald and Betty (Hollingshead) Neff in Sullivan, Missouri. While growing up Patty attended school in the Cuba and Saint James School districts.

In her early life, Patty was blessed with two children, Joshua and Crystal. She raised her young family in the Sullivan area while remaining a homemaker. Patty was united in marriage to William “Bill” Rutz in 1983.  They were later divorced but reconciled their relationship and were blessed with 20 happy years together.

Patty loved being outdoors fishing, camping and being surrounded by family and friends. She also loved to work puzzles, watch scary movies and surf Facebook. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Patty is survived by her loving children, Josh Neff of Bourbon, Missouri and Crystal Pyatt and husband Ryan of Sullivan, Missouri; her granddaughter, Gracie Enloe of Villa Ridge, Missouri; her loving companion, Bill Rutz of Bourbon, Missouri; her father, Charles Hilliard of Sullivan, Missouri; a sister, Donna Hilliard of Sullivan, Missouri; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends; and her beloved pets: Chance, Sheba, Little Bit, Willow and Morris.

She was preceded in death by her birth father, Donald Neff; her beloved mother, Betty; and two siblings, Donald Neff and Gladys Hilliard.

A Memorial Graveside Service was held at 2 pm, Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Lea Cemetery in Leasburg, Missouri.
