Patricia A. Dilks

Patricia J. Dilks, age 90, of Sullivan, Missouri passed away peacefully on Friday, March 24, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.

Patricia Josephine was born July 13, 1932 to Joseph and Susie (Jackson) Marshall in Upper Indian Creek. She was united in marriage to Stephen Harold Dilks on October 29, 1951 in St. Clair, Missouri. To this union they were blessed with two sons, Stephen and Mike. Together they continued raising their family in Washington County. As a young woman, Patty was employed at Brown Shoe Company and later went to work as a cook for the Potosi Elementary School.

Patty was the ultimate homemaker and treasured caring for her family. She loved to prepare special meals and goodies during the holidays and at each gathering she hosted. Patty made sure to include each person’s favorite dish. She enjoyed bowling and was a league member for many years. Patty also loved to dance and was sure to kick up her heels during the Jitterbug any chance she could.

Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Patty will be so dearly missed and very lovingly remembered.

Patty is survived by her two sons, Stephen Dilks and wife Lonnie, and Mike Dilks all of Sullivan, MO; three grandchildren, Stacie Dilks, Megan Hall and Stuart Dilks; two great-grandchildren, Trenton and Lily Stevens; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Patty was preceded in death by her husband Stephen; her parents, Joseph and Susie Dilks; and a sister, Jeanie Tourville.

Services will be 12 PM, Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at the Eaton Funeral Home with Pastor John Blackmore officiating. Interment will follow at Smith Cemetery - Sullivan, MO.

Visitation will be 10 AM – 12 PM, Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at the Eaton Funeral Home prior to the funeral service.
